Homes from the Low $300ks
Our experienced team has created a comprehensive checklist to help you get started on your way to homeownership. But before the actual building process begins, you’ll need to get pre-approved for your mortgage. While your mortgage counselor will guide you through each step, you will need the following documents for your initial meeting regarding your loan application:
Once pre-approved for a mortgage, you’ll start working with our team to visualize your new home.
Before tackling all the small details, you’ll choose which Robertson Homes community your family will call home. Our personalized single-family homes and condos are found in desirable neighborhoods with exceptional amenities throughout Southeast Michigan. Next, you’ll start exploring home sites to find the exact location and home plan that works for your family. Our home plans and new home plans offer a variety of options to please even the most selective home buyers.
Now, the fun really begins! During this part of the ownership process, you’ll be exploring our extensive array of selections to truly make your home your own. Your Robertson Homes Design Studio consultant will help you in selecting the choices that show off your personal style and make your home unique. You’ll make decisions concerning cabinetry, flooring, electrical, paint, appliances, fixtures, and more.
At our seminar, you'll learn what to expect during the construction process. You'll meet with a member of our on-site construction staff and your new home representative for an overview of the entire process. We'll also go over each and every step of construction and warranty of your new home with you.
Once the design details are settled, you’ll meet with a member of our on-site construction staff and your new home representative for an overview of the construction process. You’ll learn what to expect during every step of construction and go over the warranty for your new home.
Your individual construction timetable depends upon the home plan you have chosen and its availability. Thorough inspections are held regularly throughout the entire construction process. For instance, during our Rough Frame Punch Out stage, our construction staff conducts a 57-item inspection. During the Pre-Walk stage, held right before your Pre-Closing Orientation, our staff conducts a 41-item inspection. This is to ensure that each and every phase of construction meets our rigorous quality standards.
We’ll schedule your Pre-Closing Orientation approximately a week before closing. Your construction supervisor will walk through the home with you to carefully review every aspect. We’ll answer any questions you may have, offer maintenance and care advice, and review warranties and service contracts.
Your final walkthrough will be on the day of closing. A member of our team will walk with you through your home or condo once more to confirm that all items have been completed to your satisfaction before closing the home. Later in the day, once the title company has finalized all of the paperwork, you are ready to get your keys and move into your fabulous new home from Robertson Homes. Congratulations!
We’re committed to our customers and dedicated to making every new homeowner a happy one. We use a private third-party consultant to send out customer satisfaction surveys following closing, and we use this feedback to continuously improve our processes for future customers. Now that you know what to expect, it’s time to take the first steps toward building your home. Call Robertson Homes today at (248) 657-4968 to get started!
Our finish superintendent, Wendy, was very responsive to our concerns, and tried to address issues as soon as possible.
