Having developed over 60 communities in Southeastern Michigan as an accredited new home builder, our company has collected numerous awards and has been nationally recognized for our achievements in the home-building industry. From being billed as one of the top 25 builders in Metro Detroit by DBusiness Magazine in 2013 to nationally ranking on Professional Builder’s annual Housing Giants for four years running, we have proven to be a driving force in the Southeast Michigan housing market for more than 70 years.

Building Excellence in Metro Detroit

Published in 2014, Detroit's Premier Business Journal, DBusiness Magazine, placed Robertson Homes on the list of the Top Home Builders in Metro Detroit in 2013. Ranked by the number of permits in one year, our company placed 7th out of 25 builders, having acquired 93 permits in 2013 alone.

Parade of Homes

Throughout the years, Robertson Homes has been proud to be a part of the annual Home Builders Association’s and BIA Parade of Homes. In 2015, our two-story Charleston home plan, located in the community of Spring Meadows, was the HBA Parade of Homes Blue Ribbon winner. Consecutively, in 2016, our Glendale attached condominium in Royal Oak and in 2018, our Princeton home plan in Ferndale & Royal Oak also brought home a Blue Ribbon award.

Major Achievements at the HBA Annual Awards

Commemorating builders in Southeastern Michigan, the HBA Annual Awards recognize excellence in the residential construction industry. Bestowed with the Developer of the Year award in 2017, the Bert L. Smokler Builder of the Year award in 2024 & 2015 and the Development of the Year award in 2022 by the Home Builders Association of Southeastern Michigan, or HBA, our company president, James V. Clarke, was also awarded the President’s Award in 2016. As a banner year for the professionals at Robertson Homes, the 2016 HBA Annual Awards named Virginia Cox as the New Home Sales Professional of the Year.

Nationally Ranked By Housing Giants

Each year, Robertson Homes has been recognized nationally by Professional Builder’s annual Housing Giants list. With upwards of 250 of the country’s largest builders ranked by housing revenue each year, we are proud to have made this exclusive list for a number of consecutive years.

Noel is by far the hardest worker in the entire Robertson Brothers company, and I mean that with all sincerity.
